Happy Giving Tuesday! Today, we’re excited to launch our Yeka Girls Winter Campaign, aiming to sponsor atleast 50 girls by the end of the day for our upcoming winter camps! Thanks to our incredible supporters we already got 16 sponsored - Only 34 left to go!

This winter, we’re organizing two camp sessions: one in Ukraine and another in Israel, with 80-100 girls expected at each. These camps provide a safe, warm haven away from their realities of war. A place where they can celebrate Chanukah with joy - surrounded by their loving Yeka family!

Would you consider sponsoring a child, either fully or partially to help us reach our giving Tuesday goal? The cost for each child is $1,200. Your support makes a tangible difference in these girls’ lives, and we are so grateful for your ongoing generosity.

As today is a time when we all sit together with our families around the table, giving thanks,
we at Yeka Girls also want to take a moment to express our gratitude to our family.

First and foremost, we want to thank G-d and the Rebbe for blessing us with such a beautiful Yeka family.
Thank you to all our supporters and donors — your generosity makes it possible for our Yeka family to come together and thrive.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated staff, who work tirelessly, sacrificing sleepless nights to care for each and every one of our girls.

At Yeka, we embrace every opportunity to dance, with one of our biggest celebrations taking place right after Shabbat ends. Just before Havdalah, a staff member overheard this conversation:

Camper 1: How do you get through life? How do you cope with the war? Sometimes, life feels so tough…
Camper 2: I fill my days with good things. When I’m at camp, I try to rest and forget about what’s happening at home, even if just for a few days. Life can be hard, but hey, the dance party is about to start! Come with me to the dance floor; let’s dance it out and leave our worries behind!

This year, Simchat Torah 5785 has been especially challenging. We’ve endured profound loss, and Am Yisrael has faced immense struggles. Just a year ago, some of us were in shul hearing about disasters, while others were at home, and some were on the frontlines, experiencing the horrific reality firsthand.

How will we find the strength to dance? How can we lift our legs as if nothing has happened?

Dancing has a remarkable power. With each step, our hearts can feel lighter. Our minds can let go of the weight of our burdens, offering us hope for better days ahead. This year, we must dance—not only for ourselves but for those we’ve lost, for those who survived, for our soldiers, our brothers and sisters, and our children—our future. We must show the world that we cannot be broken. We are Am Yisrael—Chai, forever!

We pray that Moshiach will come before Simchat Torah, and this year, we will dance together with all our hostages, our soldiers, and those we’ve lost, with the Torah, in true happiness.
